Take our Grove Coat or Pixie Coat and pair it with this Animal Add-on to create a whole host of critters! Fun for all the family! The Add-on is also compatible with the adult Flourish Dress Coat and Bloom Jacket. 

Skill level:  Adventurous beginner (animals with manes are a little more fiddly than the other styles)

14 Animal Options:  Fox, Unicorn, Lion, Bear, Bunny, Dino, Cat, Mouse, Giraffe, Zebra, Horse, Donkey, Ladybird, Panda and Puppy.

 What's Included:

  1. Animal hood pattern pieces (specific to the Grove Coat, Pixie Coat and Pixie Pea patterns)
  2. Animal elements such as ears, manes, horns + antlers
  3. Animal tails 
  4. Animal pocket piece with options for claws + paw prints
  5. Full sewing instructions

 What's NOT Included:

The base coat pattern.  You will need to purchase a Twig + Tale® coat pattern separately. You can view the compatible coat patterns here.

This Coat Add-on is compatible with:

  • Grove Coat - child + adult sizes
  • Pixie Pea - child sizes
  • Pixie Coat - adult sizes
  • Flourish Coat - adult sizes
  • Bloom Jacket - adult sizes

ALL the Adult Add-ons cover our complete adult size range:

  • Women's/Curved Fit size ranges 0-22/A-L and 14-38/H-T
  • Men's/Straight Fit size ranges 30-52 and 46-66.

 

Q:   Will this include the pattern for the actual garment?
A:  You must purchase a compatible Twig + Tale® vest, coat or cape/cloak pattern separately, as these animal add-ons do NOT contain all the pattern pieces for the base garment.

Q:   Can I use the same animal add-on for all the garment patterns I have?
A:   As the necklines are different between the garments, you will need to purchase the add-on specifically for the garment type you are sewing.

Q:   Is there an add-on for the Adult Grove or Pixie Coat?
A: Lucky you, the Adult Animal add-on includes both the Men's/Straight Fit AND Women's Curved Fit size ranges for both coats in the one add-on - bonus!



SUPPLIES

Use the fabric requirement chart from your original garment pattern.

The Animal hood has the same fabric requirements as the Round hood. If adding a tail, allow another 1⁄4 yard or metre.

It is intended that your choice of ears can be cut from the scraps - however, if making a Bunny, Puppy or Giraffe, you may need to allow a tiny bit more fabric.

PRINTING INFO

This is a print-at-home PDF pattern and includes three printing options:

    1. US Letter/A4 - tiled and designed to print on your home printer
    2. Copyshop - A0 wide-format file (33.1″ x 46.8″) 
    3. Projector - specially-formatted and optimized for home projector use.
